Hockey at Beckenham Beckenham's Hockey Section is one of the best in Southern England, running eight men's and four ladies' sides. The club has just celebrated its centenary. The Men's 1st XI are consistent challengers for promotion to National League status, while the other sides compete in the London Leagues. Men's Hockey The section runs eight Saturday sides from the 1st XI through to the Veterans and "Weasels", playing league and friendly games, mostly at the weekend. Ladies' Hockey The Ladies' section, previously known as "Atalanta" Hockey Club is now part of the main hockey section, and runs four sides at the weekend. Mixed Games, Tours and Festivals The men's and ladies' hockey members all participate in mixed games, tours and festivals as well as organising a number of social events. Junior Hockey Junior coaching and competition is available for all ages (7 and up) giving all standards of player the opportunity to have fun, improve their hockey, make friends and play competitive matches against other clubs.
